Little League Pledge

I trust in God
I love my country
And will respect its laws
I will play fair
And strive to win
But win or lose
I will always do my best.

Volunteer Pledge

I will teach all children to play fair and do their best.
I will positively support all managers, coaches and players.
I will respect the decisions of the umpires.
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.

He's Just a Little Boy

He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment would send the team home.
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd,
with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, "strike him out"
and tears fill his eyes.
Open your heart and give him a break,
for it's moments like this, a man you can make.
Please keep this in mind, when you hear someone forget,
he's just a little boy, and not a man yet.
 

What's New

Welcome to our new website, the intent is to increase communication for not only Little League, but all youth sports and organizations within our small Coupeville Coummunity. How will it benefit you? As a coach you'll be able to communicate directly to your parents, update schedules, and find important documents, as a parent you'll find the same. Best of all, we control who has access. Yes, in order to view most of the content you'll have to create a user account which will varify  your email address, it takes less than a minute. Who maintains the site? You! Yes, the content of the site will be maintained by the Board of Directors, Coaches, and team parents through a browser interface.

Baseball Clinics

Get ready for tryouts! Tye & Scott Deckwa along with some of the players from their Everett team will be putting on a 2 Day Clinic February 20th & 21st. Cost is $20, if you would like to register please send us an email at info@centralwhidbeylittleleague.org. Payment and registrations will be accepted prior to the beginning of the clinic on the 20th.

Umpire Clinic

Our Umpire Clinic (Baseball/Softball) will be on Saturday, March 20th, at the Coupeville Elementary School (Multi-Purpose Room) from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. New rules, basic plate and base mechanics will be covered.
Clinic will be put on by:
Bill Kosmas and Rita Cline.

* All leagues are welcome to attend.

Ann Bell and Heidi Roberts will be in charge of our 2010 fundraiser this year. Players who miss the turn in date will be ineligible for prizes.
